Password Data Handling

MyPasswordChecker.com offers two services with different data handling practices:

Free Website Password Checker (Homepage Tool)

When you use the free password checker on our website:

• All analysis happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript
• Your password is never transmitted to our servers
• We cannot see your password (this is technically impossible in client-side mode)
• No data is collected, stored, or logged
• You can verify this by checking your browser's Network tab (you'll see zero requests)

Developer API Service

When developers integrate our API to check passwords programmatically:

• Passwords are transmitted to our servers via HTTPS for processing
• Passwords are processed in memory only and immediately discarded after analysis
• We do not log password values in any system logs
• We do not store passwords in any database, file system, or cache
• Only usage metadata is logged (timestamp, API key ID, endpoint called, response status code)
• Passwords are never written to disk at any point

Both services: We never sell, share, or transmit your password data to third parties under any circumstances.

Information We Collect

2. API Usage Data

If you register for API access, we collect:

• Email address (for account creation)
• Name (optional)
• API key usage statistics (request counts, not password data)
• Billing information (processed by Stripe)

3. Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your credit card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This service is:

• Privacy-respecting: No cookies, no fingerprinting, no personal data collection
• GDPR compliant: Fully compliant with EU privacy regulations
• Aggregated data only: We collect page views, referrers, and countries (aggregated statistics)
• Does not track passwords: Analytics never see or track password content

To support our free password checking service, we display advertisements and affiliate links on our website.
