1. Acceptance of Terms

By using MyPasswordChecker.com ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Description of Service

We provide:

• Free password strength analysis
• Premium quantum resistance estimates (paid)
• API access for developers

3. Privacy and Security

Your passwords are processed client-side and never transmitted to our servers. See our Privacy Policy.

4. API Terms

4.1 Registration

You must provide accurate information when registering for API access.

4.2 API Keys

• Keep your API keys secure
• Don't share keys publicly
• You're responsible for all activity under your key

4.3 Usage Limits

• Free plan: 25 requests/month (attribution required)
• Standard plan: 12,000 password checks + 100 quantum estimates/month + overage billing
• Quantum Monthly plan: 25,000 password checks + 5,000 quantum estimates/month + overage billing
• Promotional/Perpetual Free Tiers: Custom quotas as specified (attribution required)
• We may throttle or block abusive usage

4.4 Attribution Requirements

Free and Promotional Tier Users: If you have been granted free or promotional API access (including perpetual free tiers such as FlowGuideAI.com), you must display visible attribution to MyPasswordChecker.com where the API is used. Attribution must:

• Include the text "Powered by MyPasswordChecker.com" or similar acknowledgment
• Link to https://mypasswordchecker.com with rel="noopener" attribute
• Be visible and legible (minimum 8px font size)
• Not be hidden, obscured, or removed
• Be placed near or below the password input interface

Failure to maintain proper attribution may result in termination of free/promotional access. Paid Standard and Quantum plans do not require attribution.

4.5 Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Use the API for illegal purposes
• Attempt to bypass rate limits
• Reverse engineer the Service
• Resell API access without permission
• Remove or obscure required attribution (for free/promotional tiers)

5. Quantum Estimate Disclaimer

Important: Quantum resistance estimates are theoretical and educational only. We make no guarantee of accuracy in real-world quantum attack scenarios. See Quantum Estimate Disclaimer.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Pricing

Current pricing is available at /pricing. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days notice.

6.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Overage is billed monthly in arrears
• All fees are non-refundable except as stated below

6.3 Refunds

• 7-day money-back guarantee on first month only
• 48-hour refund window for $1 quantum estimates (accidental purchases)
• Contact support for refund requests

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content are owned by MyPasswordChecker.com and protected by copyright and other laws.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

• We don't guarantee 100% uptime
• Password strength estimates are approximations
• Quantum estimates are theoretical models only

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

• Data breaches resulting from weak passwords you create
• Decisions made based on our estimates
• Service interruptions or errors
• Damages exceeding amount paid in past 12 months

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access immediately for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Abusive behavior
• Non-payment

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
